Sohale were kindly invited by owner of Tudor Hall Dave to sample his version of Afternoon Tea.On Arrival our table was ready for us and our Tea was served with fresh tea leaves and a time and lovely little black teapots a very nice touch.
The afternoon tea was served on a small picnic table and it was crammed with so many interesting things we did not know where to start.
The chef definitely has artistic flair and we chose the warm items first to try Mini Burgers (great meat) and fish and chips which had great seasoning and lovely pieces of fish top quality. Next was sandwiches smoked salmon, egg mayonnaise and my favourite roast beef and horseradish on malted bread.
There was sushi – crab and advocado and vegetarian and also lettuce cups with cream cheese tomatoes and mayonnaise.
After a little break it was on to warm chocolate bread and butter pudding with a hint of mint , miniature milk shakes in milk bottles and scone with cream and jam. Small pots of rice pudding with berries and bananas on sticks with dark chocolate and coconut – yum yum. It was definitely different to have afternoon tea this way and in a good way – interesting tasty and fun.
Should you be looking for an afternoon tea with a difference in a truly stunning location in Hale Barns Cheshire then you need to try afternoon tea at Tudor Hall we have and it was great.
