Victoria, Manager of the Alchemist invited Sohale in to sample their menu and cocktails. Alderley Edge being only a 15 minute drive from Hale and good parking (2 large car parks) as well as on road parking we arrived and were greeted at the door. We sat at the back of the restaurant and let Victoria and her team chose from the menu items to try.
Served by Natalie and Katie we started with Sage and Onion Popcorn (which I could not stop eating literally!) Duck spring rolls, Bhajis , prawn lollipops, feta nut salad, seeded falafel and pork Bon Bons.
These starters were amazing the batter on the prawns super light and crispy till the last bite. Plenty of ingredients in all the items packed with meat especially the duck rolls and the Pork Bon Bons were the secret weapon – they were stunning and should be tried by everyone. All the dishes oozed quality and the balance of flavours were great.
Japanese Chicken Ramen was so unusual and lovely and light and tasty the list could go on and on it is so worth a try – intense and a beautiful infusion.
Waffle with cinnamon and ice cream was awesome and so so simple but so right. Lemon meringue and passionfruit mess – the lemon was glorious and sharp and tasty and brownie – now who doesn’t love a quality brownie and this did have that name!
Cocktails were very well made and so unusual, definitely great drama to them and super tasty. The (S0) solero literally tasty just like its name. (Mr) Mr Freeze changed colours and super fruity and dark clouds made by Daniel at Alderley Edge and entered into the Alchemist competition it was dark rum with a Guinness foam.
This place has food and drink which is eye-appealing however doesn’t lose anything on taste either – the presentation is very high and attention to all details. The staffs are knowledgeable and interested and the vibe from the restaurant is great.
