Whatever your postnatal stage Buggyfit has a programme that will suit your needs.
Your Buggyfit trainer is fully qualified in ante and postnatal exercise prescription, so the class can take you from initial recuperation, through those tough times of getting back into your jeans and onto those new levels of fitness – and most of this from behind your buggy or pram.
Buggyfit fitness classes for mums and babies are an hour long, and usually involve a 3 – 5 mile route in total. Classes start with a moderate warm up walk, moving into a power walk or run (never compulsory and sometimes not appropriate) to raise our heart rates.
This is when we start to burn fat! It’s a real mix of cardio vascular training combined with strengthening and toning exercises to address those areas hardest hit by pregnancy, birth and labour. All exercises can be tailored to accommodate injury, but equally individuals can be challenged too!We finish off with a cool down and stretch.
Included in the sessions are tips and techniques on adopting and maintaining better posture, a rectus check (diastasis) and of course the chance to chat and make new friends.
Your Buggyfit class has been developed by an experienced trainer to suit the various stages we go through after having a baby. At Buggyfit you work as hard as you are comfortable with, and will always ensure safe technique is used to gain maximum results.
You need to have the all clear at your 6 week check before commencing exercise. I suggest waiting 10-12 weeks post caesarian.
